about

This is a collaborative album, like a compilation, but more a community effort between some of Vancouver's earliest techno-heads. Led by Dreamdoktor H., AKA Dan Handrabur of Off And Gone, Weed, Veumorph, Floatpoint, XDrone and more, this posse of gearphreaks worked together to release a weirdly dark yet often beautiful collection of acid, ambient, trance, space-goth and other sounds that have to be heard to be believed. Also includes some of the earliest releases of Phil Western (RIP) and Adham Shaikh, both of whom, as with Dan and Cristina Handrabur, have gone on to great success producing some of the most amazing electronic music.

Reviewed by FilboidStudge/Discogs:
Fantastic, mesmerising deep-space voyage with Canada-based Romanian genius Dan Handrabur [Dreamdoktor H] at the helm. This collection veers from mysterious, hugely imaginative, intelligent techno to drifting alien soundscapes like a malfunctioning android ejected into unknown realms of the cosmos.

This is music of real character and can turn from spooky to beautiful in the flash of an eye. Ever-shifting patterns propel these tracks ever-onward: there's no laziness here; no drum track simply repeating itself over and over. Samples from "Blade Runner" come and go as do occasional floaty vocals from Dan's wife ("Erra").

Criminally ignored by the dance music scene upon its release and ever since, this is a must-have for everyone into their sci-fi ambient/techno thrills.
